You wake up suddenly from a deep sleep… You don’t know what woke you up…. Maybe a dream, maybe a sudden sound, maybe you just got too cold? Whatever it may be, you are still groggy, and eyes heavy with sleep, and you know, that all it will take is a couple of seconds for you to fall back into that deep restful sleep again… You snatch a quick look at the alarm clock… One.. no, two more hours for the alarm to go off…. And even in that groggy state, your mind goes, YES!!! Ah, two more hours of blessed sleep left! And off you are, within seconds!
Sounds familiar? Does anyone else feel good about this? I know this is a very simple thing, but hey, it’s a great feeling nevertheless!
Of course, for this to be the absolutely perfect feel good moment, a number of factors have to come together….like:
- There should be at least an hour left for your alarm to go off… Often it has happened that I wake up with about half hour before the alarm goes off, and then I end up waking very five minutes after that, because I am scared of sleeping through it after switching it off!
- You should be able to go right back to sleep, within seconds… Its annoying to wake up, and then take forever to fall back asleep… Hence the “eyes heavy with sleep” condition.
- Preferably, you should be comfortable enough already… I woke up about an hour before my alarm today, but it was the cold that woke me up… It took me some time to get comfy again, before I could really enjoy my sleep again…
Well that’s my first feel good post to get the blog on its way… rather superficial to start with, but like I said, I know at least one other person who has this as one of her good things in life too! :)
